Jeffery Lee Nelson, 66, of Pace, Florida passed away on October 28, 2023. Jeff was born in Conneaut, Ohio on June 8, 1957. Jeff was a devoted husband to his wife Marlene for 45 years, a father to his son Christopher and a best friend to them both. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved fishing and camping. Jeff grew up in Jupiter, Florida where he spent most of his time fishing and playing sports. He served 5 years in the US Navy after high school and went on to continue his career in the naval aviation maintenance field for over 45 years. He met his wife Marlene while stationed at NAS Pensacola and they decided to make their home in the Pensacola area.
He is preceded in death by his infant son Steven Michael Nelson, his parents Donald and Janice Nelson, his brother Ricky, his in-laws Woodrow and Lee Self, and his best friends for over 40 years Michael and Donna Carr.
Jeff will be remembered and cherished by his sisters Donna Courtney and Jacqueline Seeley of Pace, Florida. His brothers-in-law Jim Seeley of Pace and Jeffrey (Sarah) Self of St. Louis. His nieces and nephew Jessica Seeley, Shawna Russell, Brian Nelson, Janice (Scott) Lowery, Jackie (Caleb) Smith, Ashley Humme, Madison Humme, Brianna (Carr) Leavins and Brittany (Carr) Swinford. His great nephew Jonathan Russell and great nieces Peyton, Paisley and Penny Smith.
Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Big Lagoon State Park East Beach Pavilion. All are welcome as we remember Jeff.
