Jeffery Alan Samide, age 63, of Waterbury, CT, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Lavoie) Samide for 30 years.
Jeffery was born on July 7, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of Carole (Umland) Samide and the late Gunther Samide. He worked as a tractor trailer driver over 25 years and after worked as a tractor trailer driving instructor for a few years. He was a big NY Jets and NY Mets fan. He loved his cats, Pearl and Silver and his dog, Buddy.
Besides his wife and mother of Waterbury, Jeffery leaves his mother-in-law, Carol Lee Lavoie of Watertown, CT, sister-in-law, Kelly Sullivan (Patrick) of St. Cloud, FL, brothers-in-law, Ronald Lavoie (Denise) of Wallingford, CT, Daniel Lavoie (Debbie) of Elizabeth City, NC and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda M. Samide.
Arrangements: Funeral services and burial for Jeffery will be at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT has been entrusted with his arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeffery's name may be made to: Veterans Administration - P.O. Box 310909, Newington, CT 06131
