Jeffery Lee Schulz

Jeffery was a devoted family man, survived by his loving mother, Doreen, his wife, Gladys Schulz, his son, Michael, and Michael's fiancée, Lauren. He is also survived by his sister Kathy (the late Joseph) Vesely, and his cherished nieces, Allison (Andy) Folkerts and Erin (Tony) Spirovski. Jeffery was a proud uncle to great-nieces and great-nephews: Elsie, Jack, Coralie, Mila, and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Wilbert Schulz.

A passionate horticulturist, Jeffery was inspired at a young age by his father's love for plants. His love of gardening blossomed into a vocation, which led him to his next interest, Bonsai. He started his local business, The Hidden Gardens, where he shared his enthusiasm for plants with the community. Jeffery was an award winning Bonsai artist and dedicated member of the Midwest Bonsai Society, where he connected with fellow enthusiasts who shared his passion for the delicate art of Bonsai cultivation.

Jeffery's gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of countless individuals. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and at ease. His family and friends will remember him not only for his love of plants but also for his generosity, fairness and the love he showed to those around him.

A funeral service to honor Jeffery's life will be held on December 20, 2025, at Modell Funeral Home 7710 S. Cass Ave. Darien with a memorial visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the memorial service 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
