Jeffery Leon Ward passed away at the age of 62 after a brief illness on July 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.
Jeff was born on September 15, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James and Bonnie Ward and raised in Arlington, Texas. Jeff graduated from Arlington High School in 1980 and then from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his career, he was respected for his keen attention to detail, analytical mindset and strong leadership.
Jeff married his wife of 34 years, Becky, on October 20, 1989. Together, they shared two daughters, Renee and Erin. As a proud "girl dad," Jeff coached and cheered on his daughters in various sports. He showed them the importance of strong character and a solid work ethic through his actions.
Jeff was an active member of St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas. Jeff was on the Trustee Committee for many years, serving several as the Chairman. He found fulfillment in supporting his church community.
An avid sports fan, Jeff passionately supported local professional teams; he was thrilled to witness the Texas Rangers' 2023 World Series Championship. Additionally, Jeff had a keen interest in history, particularly the history of Texas. He was known for his handyman skills and creativity. Jeff also loved traveling, spending time outdoors, going to concerts and spending time with family and friends. Most important to Jeff, however, was that he enjoyed his passions alongside his lifelong companion, Becky.
Jeff was a loyal friend and a dependable neighbor, known for his sense of humor, steady presence, and sound advice. He will be greatly missed.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and James Ward. He is survived by his beloved wife Becky, daughter Renee, daughter Erin and husband, Brady; sister Karen Brown and husband Jimmy; sister Sharon Dodson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission Arlington in Jeff's memory.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held at Wade Funeral Home on July 24th, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church on July 25th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Jeff's family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating his remarkable life and legacy.

Becky, I was so saddened to read your post on Jeff `s passing & the first thought that came to me was Christmas 2004 when we had our Christmas Posada at Billy and Kim´s. You & Jeff did such a great job dressing Renee & Erin as shepherds! I remember being impressed with the creativity of their outfits. Over the years you all have joined us in many family celebrations, with Jeff always being one of the cooks at the grill! Today as you celebrate his life with family & friends, you Erin and Renee will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I really enjoyed working with Jeff through out the years at Ironform. He was a very good man and he will be missed.

My first contact with Jeffery was during a phone interview for IRONFORM - Imperial Group in 2015, he was very personable a great first experience.

The next nine years working for Jeff was amazing, he was one of the best engineers I've ever been acquainted with, a great boss and a solid colleague.

Except for some visits to our VA location we always worked at a distance, he was a great communicator and always returned calls and texts, usually texting
I'll call you right back........until the last time when that call never came.

Jeffery was the best to share a meal with, with a wide range of travel experiences and a knowledgeable food base it was always a pleasure
at the end of a long day to break bread.

Jeffrey was a unique individual, He is missed professionally and personally.
Our loss is Heaven's gain.
