Jeffrey Abrams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2025.
It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Jeffrey Abrams of Gloucester, formerly of Saugus, and Brookline on August 20 at the age of 76 years.

Jeff's ten year journey with Alzheimer's was accompanied by his life partner of forty years, Hilda Santos. Also on his supportive journey were Hilda's sister, Palmira Santos, and close friends Ruth DeSoto, Elaine Seifert, and Rina Cavallini.

Jeff began his 46 year career at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as a driver to deliver payrolls. Over the years he climbed the career ladder to manage the technical Control Dept. and lastly to become a Project Leader to roll out new payroll technologies.

When he was not working he enjoyed going to antique car shows with his childhood best friend, Chuck Simons.

Jeff's favorite exercise routine was walking, walking, and walking. He participated in several Jimmy Fund walks with his favorite breast cancer team, The Pink Angels. He participated in many NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) walks supporting Hilda's best friend Priscilla DiLuzio and her family.

As a member of The Pink Angel Team posse, you would find Jeff cheering the team on as they walked over 3 days, totaling 60 miles for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation. He was proud to be dressed in pink from head to toe while cheering and supporting all the walkers.

If you were a friend of Jeff, he considered you family. He was always there to lend support and to make you smile with his spontaneous sense of humor.

He is survived by his sister Janice Green and husband Stanley in Silver Springs, MD., brother Arthur Abrams in Warwick, RI. and many nieces and nephews.

Please consider a memorial donation to: Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923, or online at CareDimensions.org/Donate or to the Alzheimer's Organization at alz.org.

A private service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, MA.
