Joseph Sinagra Obituary
Born on November 21, 1953, in Gloucester, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Patricia (Mitchell). The eldest of five, he grew up on Perkins Street and attended Gloucester High School. A lover of art, Joe honed a skill for drawing, capturing scenes of the waterfront and ocean. Joe worked on boats until he retired, as a fisherman and an engineer, and was passionate about sustainable fisheries.
Joseph is survived by his brothers Frank and Anthony; sister Julie Mackey; nieces and nephews Christopher, Amanda, Jennifer, Tori, Anthony and Bethany; children Dominique, Elena and Tristan; granddaughters Constance and Daphne; and ex-wife Emily. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his sister Victoria. Joseph is remembered as a caring big brother and friend to many.
A mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church in Gloucester in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to Gloucester's Seaside Sustainability, 127 Eastern Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930, or Cape Ann Art Haven, 20 Maplewood Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930.

I had the pleasure of working with Joe for several years towards the end of our careers. He was always willing to go the extra mile and help out no matter what the circumstances. He would always have a joke ready every day to share with his coworkers and passengers. An excellent artist, he was never one to show off his artwork, but was always happy to share it. Just a good solid individual. Joe will be sorely missed by myself, and many others, I´m sure. Rest in peace, Joe.

We went to school together.
I met his father and brother fishing.
He was always a kind hearted person
We moved away from each other through the years but when we met it was like no time had past.

What an artist, and what a good person, Joe always would help out even when not required too , you could take Joe off the fishing boat but never get the fishermen out of Joe .skilled at all things nautical and never one to give up , worked with him many years and will greatly miss him , Fair winds and following seas MyFriendRIP
