Jeffrey Orrice Barrett

PRICE- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Orrice Barrett, who passed away of cancer on October 17, 2024, in the loving care of his wife, Roxanna, at their home in Price, Utah.
Born on April 13, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, to John Patrick (Jack) and Lois Dee Larson Barrett, Jeff was the youngest of three sons. He spent his early years in Brigham City, Utah; Saranac Lake, New York; Salt Lake City, Utah; and the last 25 years in Price, Utah. In 1999, he met and married Roxanna Bunderson. Jeff had two children, Mary Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Curtis Joseph (CJ), prior to his marriage to Roxanna.
Jeff's career spanned various industries. He held positions at Snowbird, Holy Cross Hospital, Christensen Diamond, the University of Utah Mechanical Engineering Department as a machinist, Ivie Electric as an electrician, and he retired from BD Medical as a machinist.
Jeff had many hobbies. He enjoyed skiing, windsurfing, riding dirt bikes, and later, his motorcycle. However, his true passion lay in connecting with the community in Price, Utah, through photography. He cherished capturing moments for the local newspaper, the college, and high school events, including graduations, dances, and rodeos. His meticulous editing of his pictures reflected not only his work but who he was as an individual.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanna; his children, Lizzy and CJ; his step-daughters, Brandi (Mark) Olson and Monica (Bryan) Heaton; his grandchildren, Coby and Tysen (Kailee) Heaton, and Nate, Nick, and Brooke Olson; his great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kayson and Blakely Heaton; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Barrett; and his nieces and nephew, Megan, Abbie, Patrick and Rebecca Barrett.
Preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, John Curtis Barrett and William Patrick Barrett. To honor Jeff's wishes, there will be no memorial services. Jeff will be deeply missed by Roxanna and family, and all who were fortunate to know him.
