YOUNGSTOWN - Jeffrey W. Bartlett of Canfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, just one day after celebrating his 78th birthday.
Born on May 10, 1947, in Youngstown, a son of the late Albert and Sara Bartlett.
A proud graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1965, Jeffrey devoted 31 years to his career at Ohio Bell/Ameritech.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brothers, Curry and Alan Bartlett.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughter, Melissa Eckenrode of Austintown; his son, Alan (Kathleen) Bartlett of North Jackson; and daughter, Laura (Casey) Smith of Littleton, Colorado. He also cherished his grandchildren, Sara Eckenrode of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Hannah and Noah Smith of Colorado, who brought him immense joy. Jeffrey is also survived by his sister, Susan Smith of Clermont, Florida, along with many nephews and a niece who will remember him fondly.
Known for his adventurous spirit, Jeffrey embraced a variety of hobbies that brought him joy, including golfing, water skiing, snow skiing, scuba diving, boating, motorcycles, and hunting. He approached life with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life to honor Jeffrey's memory on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Jackson-Milton Chapel.
