Jeffrey A. Bergey, 56, of Elverson, PA, went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his residence.
He was the loving husband of Sarah (Mumme) Bergey.
Born April 24, 1968, he was a son of Paul L. Bergey and Carolee M. (Mininger) Bergey.
Jeff was an active member of Brandywine Grace Church of Downingtown, where he served as the audio and visual technician and was a part of the 313 Men's Group. Jeff loved the Lord with all his heart and loved his Word. He was a faithful prayer warrior and had God's heart for others. Throughout his life, he took pleasure in both watching and coaching sports, especially soccer and basketball. His favorite teams were the Phillies and the Eagles. He also enjoyed learning about history by listening to podcasts and watching his favorite war movies. Jeff loved to walk around his town and exchange smiles with anyone he passed by. He was able to effortlessly make new friends wherever he would go.
What brought Jeff the most joy in life was his family, and he always kept a special place in his heart for foster children. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son and brother that was kind, loyal, hardworking and always had a positive outlook.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jeff is survived by his son, Brandon Bergey of West Chester PA; his two sons-in-love, Patrick Gehndyu (Alyssa), and Donald Miller (Sydney); his two brothers, Scott Bergey (Marie), and Todd Bergey (Lisa); and his sister, Lynn Barth (Brian).
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Kimberly Ann, who passed away in 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Kindness Project, 4752 Mill Rd, Emmaus, PA 18049, https://mykindnessproject.org/.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, 9:00 AM at Brandywine Grace Church, 40 W Pennsylvania Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
