St. Martinville - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Bonin Sr., devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, who passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, surrounded by family.
Jeff embraced many roles throughout his life, most notably as a bun operator at Flowers Bakery for the past 10 years and as a skilled welder for 23 years at 2M. His passion for carpentry was evident in everything he crafted by hand; he had a talent for building anything from wood and was always ready to lend a hand to friends and family in need of help with their projects. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeff cherished time spent fishing and crabbing, creating countless memories by the water with his loved ones.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Juliette Broussard Bonin; son, Jeffrey J. Bonin, Jr.; brothers, Jerry J. Bonin, Alvin J. Bonin, Jr. and Brian Bonin (Terri); sister-in-law, Carolyn Murdock (Moss); brother-in-law, David Broussard (Michelle); godchildren, Ashley Bonin and Ty Murdock; and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his infant son, Joshua Bonin; and parents, Alvin J. Bonin, Sr., and Elsie V. Bonin.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
