Jeffrey Lynn CombsNovember 2, 1964 – March 17, 2025
Jeffrey Lynn Combs, born in Springfield, Ohio, passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his parents, William K. “Red” Combs and Mary M. “Mag” Combs; his sister, Brenda L. (Combs) Jordan; and his sister-in-law, Norma Combs. Jeff is survived by his beloved son, Richard W. Combs of Yulee, FL; brothers Bobby (Nata), Billy (Ivanette), Nonny, Rick (Eileen), and Greg (Angela), all of Cartersville, GA; and brother Mike of Amelia, OH. He also leaves behind his close friend, Jen Campbell of Ashland, KY, along with many nieces and nephews. Jeff attended Felicity-Franklin High School in Ohio, where he played baseball from the little league through high school. He spent many years as a truck driver, working for Combs Brothers Trucking and Howard Trucking, among others. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Jeff was a devoted fan of NASCAR—especially Dale Earnhardt—and attended drag races whenever possible. He loved festivals and live music, always seeking out the next event. A proud supporter of Ohio teams, he was a lifelong Buckeyes, Bengals, and Browns fan. In recent years, Jeff found a spiritual home at Grace Baptist Church in Cartersville, where he was making many new friends and actively participated in the men's fellowship group, meeting on Saturdays at a local coffee shop.
Jeff will be remembered by his family and friends.
