He was raised in LA before moving to the San Diego area where he graduated from Sweet Water High School in 1978 at National City, CA. From 1979 – 1980, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In his mid 20’s, he met the love of his life, Connie. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 1998.
Hefe had a profound love for sports - particularly football, boxing, and baseball. As a devoted fan, he thrived in the electric atmosphere of sporting events, relishing every moment of the game. His enthusiasm extended beyond mere spectating; he actively participated in the lives of his children, coaching them when they were younger and sharing countless moments riding bikes together.
Not only was Hefe a spirited sports aficionado, but he also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an adept cook and enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends. Music was another significant facet of his life; as he enjoyed listening to his favorite tunes, often accompanied by a drink or two. Hefe also treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren while sharing laughter and creating memories.
Hefe is survived by his wife and life partner of 38 years: Connie of Fort Dodge; 2 children: Brittany Coronado and significant other Tyler of Dakota City, IA and Courtney Anderson and husband Cooper of Fort Dodge; 2 step-children: Jason Clipper of San Diego, CA and Jermaine Clipper and wife Jessica of Ames, IA; and 6 grandchildren: Ava, Kinsley, Adley, Haisley, Josephine and Aryen.
