He is survived by his parents, Tom and Phyllis Downey of Princeton; wife, Candace Downey of Winslow; children, Chris (Jessica) Downey of Princeton and Tony Downey of Evansville; grandchildren, Claire Downey and Violet Downey; siblings, Andy Downey of Owensville and Brad Downey of Muncie; and canine companions, Toby and Thor.
A private graveside service will be held at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN. You may visit ColvinFuneralHome.com to give online condolences or share a memory of Jeff. Colvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Downey family.

Jeff was the best. One of the good guys. I knew him through sportscards. He always made time for conversations and was the consummate bargain hunter. He will be missed by many. My condolences to the family.
