Jeffrey Mark Faro, age 81, passed away peacefully July 16, 2025.
Jeffrey, known to most as Jeff, was born to Alice and Leonard Faro on June 22, 1944 in Bronx, NY. The oldest of three siblings, he was a dedicated student. Jeff attended Rutgers University to pursue a degree in chemistry, but found a passion in law. He continued his education at Seton Hall Law School and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1969. As an attorney, he had a successful practice where he helped many clients across Hudson County. Jeff also enjoyed his time as a municipal court judge in Union City, NJ. He was a very intelligent, fair man who was humble about his many successes.
Jeff met his wife Carol at a high school reunion. They fell in love and married on September 22, 1974. They moved to Glen Rock, NJ where they welcomed their son Mark. They later moved to Wayne, NJ where they welcomed their son Kevin and spent many happy years and made countless friends. Recently they relocated to Wanaque, NJ where they have made many new friends. They enjoyed a loving 50 year marriage where they cherished many great memories.
Jeff took great pride in being a father to his sons Mark and Kevin and grandfather to his grandsons Ryan and Nolan. He took his role as a provider very seriously but always carved out time to spend with his family at their house in Beach Haven where you could find him on his boat "Weekend Retreat", but only during high tide. He was a proud grandfather known to his grandsons as Pop. Pop loved to teach Ryan and Nolan the rules and strategies of blackjack and they would put on their poker visors and play at the dining room table every visit. As a long-time season ticket holder he loved rooting for the Jets, even when the Jets didn't love him back. You could often find him watching the Mets or Rangers or staying updated with current events.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife Carol, sons Mark (Monica) and Kevin (Shawna), and grandsons Ryan and Nolan; sister Joan (Matthew) and brother Scott (Paula); many nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
