Jeffrey Frye, age 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1956, in Indianapolis, to the late John Frye and Mary Kathryn (White) Frye.
Jeffrey truly loved his work and spent countless hours in his shop. Whether tinkering, fixing, or simply enjoying the space he made his own, it was where he felt most at home. He also liked being outside, whether it was out on the green for 18 holes or tending his huge garden. Though he grew plenty, Jeffrey never kept the harvest for himself—he shared it with anyone who wanted some, giving it all away.
He valued time with others as well. A naturally social person, Jeffrey enjoyed unwinding over good conversation and laughter, and his laid-back nature made everyone feel comfortable in his presence. He was also a loyal sports fan who always rooted for the hometown heroes, especially the Pacers and the Colts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Kathryn, as well as his siblings, Becky (Dave) Holder and Denny (Sylvia) Frye. He is survived by his sister, Pat (Nick) Duda, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends
