It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dwight Howard Frye, (80yrs), of Brownwood, Texas. Dwight left us peacefully and joined our Lord Jesus Christ on September 02, 2025. A beloved father and husband, Dwight will always be remembered for his quiet easy-going nature.

Born on April 15, 1945, in Penfield, Illinois, Dwight was brother to Rex, Yvonne, Marvene, Corrine and James all born to James D. and Frances Frye. After graduating from Armstrong High School, Dwight enlisted in the Air Force in 1967 and was based in Abilene, Texas where he met and married Paulette Swift, his wife of 57 years. Dwight and Paulette were long time residents in the Brownwood, Texas area where Dwight worked for the US Postal Service and Paulette worked for the Central Texas MHMR.

Dwight is survived by his wife Paulette Frye, son Michael Frye (daughter in law, Joelle), brother Rex Frye, and sisters Corrine McHenry, Yvonne Dean, and Marvene Delva. He was preceded in death by his brother James Frye.

Dwight will be buried in Eastlawn Cemetery in Early, Texas, and, consistent with his quiet and humble nature, Dwight requested no services be held. If you would like to honor his memory, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
