Jeffrey Lamarr Goff (Super Chief), 65, of Elgin, SC, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1959, and was the first child of Gary A. Goff and the late Mary Miles Goff.
He grew up on a small rural farm in the middle of what is now I-77. As a small child he and his family started attending Alpine Baptist Church where he would meet his lifelong friend, they both worked at the local Bi-Lo in his highschool years.
He went on to work as a mechanic for Pulliam Ford for many years and a Metrologist for Pure Power Technology. His last job and the one he enjoyed the most, was being player 2 for his granddaughter in Spyro!
When He was not busy being the head mechanic for the family he enjoyed spending his free time with his son, going skiing or going to see live bands. He was an avid reader and enjoyed history and native american culture. Win or lose he was a diehard Tennessee vols fan and pulled for every ford car on race day.
He was passionate and had an eye for detail in everything he did. He took great pride in being a father, son, brother, and grandfather and was loved by many.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Justin S. Yandle-Goff (Hayley) of Hopkins; sister, Jan Goff Lee (Joey); granddaughter, Adelyne (Nubies) L. Yandle-Goff; nephew, Tyler Hedgepath (Kyrstin); and a great niece, Zoey A. Hedgepath.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by, a brother, Mark Goff.
A visitation will be held from 3 until 4 o'clock on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Sonrise Baptist Church, 4930 Alpine Rd, Columbia, SC 29223, for family and friends to gather. The funeral service for Mr. Jeffrey will be held at 4 o'clock, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Sonrise Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
