It is with deepest gratitude that Jeff's family extends a heartfelt thanks for the strong and steady support following the loss of our beloved Jeff. Your condolences, your visits and phone calls are testaments of your love which provided us consolation during this difficult time.

Our beloved Jeffrey Allen Gross, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 after a difficult illness that he had fought with the resilience and courage that he showed throughout his life.

Jeff was born in Stamford, Connecticut to William C. Gross and Bernice Lowrance on February 17, 1962. He grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut where he attended Center Elementary School, followed by Saxe Junior High School. He graduated from New Canaan High School in 1980. Jeff attended Sacred Heart University where he met his wife, Saba, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications.

Growing up, Jeff was a member of the New Canaan Community Baptist Church and sang in the youth choir. Jeff was a star athlete throughout his school years, and was part of the Youth Council NAACP New Canaan branch. He excelled at softball, football, and basketball. After high school, Jeff traveled, spending time in Europe in Spain and, after college, in Asia in Japan. Along the way Jeff discovered that he enjoyed acting and briefly attended Yale Drama School as well as performing with an improv theatre group in college. After graduation, Jeff entered the information technology field as an IT professional and worked for many years in that capacity with several well-known Law Firms in Washington, DC. But always family came first. Jeff loved being a father to his two children and truly enjoyed being "Papa" to his three grandchildren. He shared his love of sport with his children and even coached his son's and daughter's soccer and basketball teams.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father Charles Gross, his mother Bernice Lowrance, his brother Eddie Lowrance, his sister Geraldine Greene, his sister Cordellia Gross, his nephew Mack Stuart Edwards, and niece Kelly Moore.

Jeff is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 36 years, Saba Tesfaye-Gross; his children Ephraim Gross (Noely) and Fana Sinnott (Lawrence), his three grandchildren, Liyah, Naomi and Neo, his siblings, Crystal (Vince) Daniel, Roland Gross, Marlin Gross, and Louise Gross.
