Jeffrey A. Grove
ASHBURN, VA – Jeffrey A. Grove, 44, entered into rest at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA.
Born May 29, 1979 in York, Jeffrey was the son of Deborah M. (Warfel) Spangler of Red Lion.
He graduated from Christian School of York in 1997 and then went on to earn his bachelor's degree from York College and master's degree in History from Temple University.
Jeffrey was an avid Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco 49er's fan. His favorite memory was attending Cal Ripken, Jr.'s 2,131st consecutive game on September 6, 1995.
In addition to his mother, Jeffrey is survived by his two sisters, Jennifer Pinto and husband, Michael of York and Jessica Grove of Red Lion; four nieces, Adrianna(Trent), Isabel(Colin), London and Natalie; two nephews, Brayden and Chayse; grandfather, Fred A. Warfel, Sr. of York; aunt, Tammy Warfel and husband, Tim of York; uncle, Fred A. Warfel, Jr. and wife, Pam of Red Lion; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruthetta M. Warfel.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jeffrey's funeral at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier. The family is asking that those who are in attendance wear your favorite Orioles attire or colors. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeffrey's name to American Lung Association, National Direct Response Headquarters, P.O. Box 756 Osceola, WI 54020-0756 or by visiting www.lung.org; or Orioles Charitable Fund at https://www.mlb.com/orioles/community/charitable-fund.
