Jeffrey Grant Heckman, of Rockdale, TX, beloved Father passed away peacefully on August 29 2025 at home while watching Harry Potter Deathly Hallows. Born in Houston, TX Oct 22nd 1956, he was known for his witty come backs and his generosity to anyone and everyone. Jeff was a devoted father and husband to his 5 kids and wife Laura. He was a loving grandfather to his 2 grandchildren. He would enjoy his days listening to music and playing along with his guitar, he would also watch any movie or show he could find on tv while relaxing with some herbal remedies. When he wasn't doing that he would love to have conversations with everyone that was around and reminisce on the old days. Jeff was preceded in death by his wife Laura Denise Heckman, his mother and father Anita May Goldsworthy and James Gordon Heckman Sr, his siblings James Gordon Heckman Jr, John Gregory Heckman, Sharon Marie Heckman, Joseph Garnet Heckman. He is survived by his children Jeffrey Grant Heckman Jr of Lewisville Texas, Joseph Garnett Heckman of Caldwell Texas, Jesse Garrett and wife Brianna Heckman and unborn child of Sedalia Colorado, Jacob Gregory Heckman and life partner Stephanie Harnar of Rockdale Texas, Shiloh Michelle Heckman of Texas City Texas, his Grandchildren Jeffrey Giovani Heckman and Abigail Madison Heckman, honorary grandchildren Destanie Marie Harnar and Peyton Dewayne Harnar, his sibling Shirley May Heckman Le Fors Texas, several nieces and nephews, Great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephew. Jeff has requested to be cremated and to have a private celebration of life with family and close friends. In leu of flowers the family ask you donate to the Wounded Warrior Project and the St Joseph's Children's Hospital.
