Jeffrey Jackson

Jeffrey G. Jackson (Hilligoss) passed away peacefully on August 29, surrounded by love. Jeff is survived by his sister, Sherrie Hilligoss of Indiana; his brother Donavon (Elvira) Hilligoss of Illinois; his brother Drake (Andrea) Hilligoss of Illinois, and his best friend, Sheri Dews, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Jackson, his father, Frank Hilligoss, his brother, Wayne Hilligoss, and his sister, Wednesday Hilligoss.
A lifelong lover of music, Jeff began his professional career at just 15 years old. While he was best known as a gifted drummer who performed with many bands and countless musicians, he also found joy in playing his guitar-especially the songs of James Taylor. His passion for music and his generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to share the stage with him.
Beyond his talent, Jeff will be remembered for the positivity, kindness, and inspiration he brought into the lives of others. His music and the friendships it fostered were a reflection of the joy he carried in his heart.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Harley's on Grand Avenue in Galesburg, Illinois, on Sunday, September 14th, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Musicians are welcome to come and play. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his memory with the music and camaraderie he cherished so deeply.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes is assisting the family with his wishes.
