Jeffrey Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shawn Chapman Funeral Home - Chatsworth on Jan. 9, 2026.
Jeffrey Duane Jackson, age 50 of Chatsworth, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 8, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose life was centered around family. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brayden Jackson; his grandparents, Willie and Luther Wheat, Dimple Parker, and William Jackson II; and his aunt Rebecca Wheat.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mandy Jackson, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, memories, and unwavering commitment. He also leaves behind his children, Colten (Amelia) Jackson and Lauren (Drew) Jackson, whom he was immensely proud of. Jeff was a devoted grandfather to Kenleigh Jackson, Grainger Jackson, Levi Jackson, and Hadley Cantrell, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and purpose.

Jeff is also survived by his parents, Rita and Bobby Jackson; his siblings, Brian (Mandy) Jackson, Scott (Cristy) Jackson, and Shayvon (Brian) Johnson; his in-laws, Timmy and Vickie Welch; brother in law T.J. (Ashley) Welch and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

Jeff loved his family with his whole heart and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and took great pride in being a part of their lives. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching dirt track racing and his trucking career, which brought him so much enjoyment over the years.

Jeff will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, and the deep bonds he shared with those closest to him. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his legacy of love, dedication, and family will continue through generations.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Colten Jackson, Brian Jackson, Scott Jackson, Isaiah Jackson, Jacob Parsons, and Ralph Langston.

A service to honor the life of Jeff will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with Chris Ridley officiating and Herman Parker speaking. Interment will follow at Spring Place Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
