Larry Bowling Obituary
He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Sarah Bowling; brother, Paul Bowling; and sisters, Ida Smith and Lois Byrd.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gyretha Bowling; son and daughter-in-law, Lucas and Mary Goforth; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Shannon, Bea Bouslog, Margaret Day, Madge Overton, and Shirley Dunkin.
A service to honor the life of Larry Sherman Bowling will be at 2 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with John Waters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm.
