Jeff O. Johnson was born on October 11, 1966, in Omaha, Nebraska to Peggy and Rod Johnson.
He passed away suddenly on November 29, 2023.
Jeff attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where he earned his undergraduate degree in science. He continued to study at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he earned his Doctorate in dentistry. After graduation, he moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he began his 30-year career in dentistry. He practiced dentistry with a high level of skill, kindness, and gentleness thus fostering a sense of family among his staff and patients. He was honored to be a part of and serve the communities in the Fountain CO area.
Jeff was an Eagle Scout and was known for his easy-going nature, quick wit, and vast knowledge of many topics. He had an extremely sharp memory, allowing him to memorize entire movie scripts and music albums. He could remember everything, including every hole in golf he had ever played. In the spring, you could find him cheering for Cubs baseball, and in the fall he would be wearing Husker red on Saturdays.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, golfing, fly fishing, and skiing; teaching others to love these sports as well. His happiest days were time spent with his sons. He was a great storyteller and loved telling jokes; making other people laugh came easily to Jeff.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judy; sons, Ryne, Tyler, and Trevor; mother Peggy of Omaha; sister, Jill Bodwell (Jamie) of Omaha; brother, Jay of Omaha; parents-in-law Gary and Elsie Peeks of Hot Springs Village, AR; nieces; nephews; extended family; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rod Johnson.
His premature passing leaves a void for all who cherished him.

I can´t even began to know how to comfort Judy & Children and of course the Office staff . I been going over 20 years with my family if 5. Laughter with the staff & Judy . Over 20 years ago I entered Dr. Johnson´s office as a nervous mom taking her little one to a dentist for the first time. I was met by this kind man who earned my trust right away and has taken care of my family ever since. I know that he will be missed by many. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and staff. Dr. Johnson was so kind and thoughtful. He only been my dentist for the last 5 years and he was so gentle, nice and considerate. I love the fact that he actually remembered not only my name but my family name. When I got the letter I was shock to read of his sudden passing. Dr Johnson was referred to me by a co worker back in 1995. Being military we are always moving and his office accommodates me when I need cleaning or other dental work when I´ve moved to another state or overseas. He also helped me when a wrong tooth was pulled by oral surgeon and got me the help with orthodontics and continued with my other dentistry. He will be missed. Sending prayers

I'm in shock, I just received the letter. My heart felt condolences to his family, friends and patients. He's been my dentist for just a few years, after my dentist retired, and as someone who is petrified of dentists ( more so than spiders) he put me at ease. I knew I found my new dentist. I wish there were to comfort those close to him...may God carry you through this time.

This has been my dentist office probably for more than 20 years. I just now read the letter of Dr Johnson´s passing.
I remember him as very sincere, compassionate, and very kind.
Always very caring, and patient. I was there earlier this year, to get my crown finished.
He and his whole staff were very kind, friendly and extremely helpful in the process of recommending an oral surgeon, getting me the earliest appointment possible for my crown process.
My deepest sympathies to his wife, children, and family.

I just opened the letter from the dental office and am in shock. I was just in there a month ago and saw Jenny. Jeff was out of the office that day. I ended up with him as my dentist about fifteen years ago through my friend, Patty Bloss who thought I would like him which I really did. I am so sorry for this unexpected loss for his family, for the office, for his patients and for me. He is my favorite dentist I have ever had. So personable and so compassionate and very skilled.
