Jeffrey Johnson Obituary

Jeff, affectionately known as JJ by his close friends, age 71,  passed into eternal life on October 12 with his significant other of 40 years, Pam, at his side.  Also present at his passing were his dearest friends Paul Barber (Arlington Heights, IL) and Jon, Audrey and Mike Sinnett (Mukwonago, WI).

Jeff was born in Newark OH to Seymour and Patricia (Clapper) Johnson.  He spent his early years in Livonia MI.  After his father's job  transfer, he spent his teenage years and early adulthood in Arlington Heights IL.  His career as a budding precision machinist brought him to WI in 1983.  Employed for many years at Instrument Development Corporation of Mukwonago as a precision machinist, he was a key staff member who made components for the aerospace and defense industries.  He was an avid motorcyclist his entire life.  He did motocross, dirt bike, and road racing around the Midwest.  Jeff and Pam were lovers of fast cars, and he drove many including a Honda S 2000 and a Porsche 911.  Jeff and Pam loved the Driftless Region of SW Wisconsin, slicing and dicing their way through the regions' hills and valleys.  How he loved seeing the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers, and dining at The Agnus Supper Club in Prairie du Chien.  JJ was truly a "silly soul" whose antics will be sorely missed by those who knew and  loved him.

Jeff is survived by his long time "girlfriend" Pamela Miller Gotch, and many friends, co-workers and members of Pam's Miller clan.   Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, his only sibling Deborah, and his beloved cats Chloe and Natasha.

In lieu of flowers Pam suggests memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Pam would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Monica and Sonja at Southpointe Healthcare Center and Jackie from Brighton Hospice.

A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
