Jeffrey Wayne Kilburn

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Wayne Kilburn, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and faithful friend. He passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Raised in Tracy, CA, Jeffrey was a man whose life was defined by service, kindness, and joy. Married to his high school sweetheart, Debra, for 50 wonderful years, their love story was one of unwavering commitment, mutual respect, and shared faith. Together, they built a life rooted in love and generosity-a life that enriched everyone lucky enough to be part of it.

A man who noticed what others overlooked, Jeffrey had an extraordinary gift for seeing the needs of those around him. Whether it was a word of encouragement, a helping hand, or simply remembering a detail from a passing conversation, he made people feel seen, heard, and valued. He built lifelong friendships, mentored countless employees, and inspired others through his quiet leadership and deep compassion.

He was also someone who knew how to have fun. Jeffrey had a deep love for the outdoors and a special passion for boating and camping. Some of his fondest memories were made on the lake or around a campfire, surrounded by friends who became family. Year after year, he enjoyed trips filled with laughter, storytelling, and shared meals under the stars.

His faith was central to who he was. A convert to Catholicism, he faithfully attended Mass alongside his beloved wife and generously gave his time to his church community. He delivered communion to the sick and elderly, offering comfort and connection to those who needed it most. His acts of service, both seen and unseen, were a reflection of his deeply-rooted belief in living a life for Christ.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his devoted son, Byron; his brother-in-law, Ken; his daughters-in-law Kris and Ericka; and his treasured grandsons, Nate and Jack, who carry forward his legacy of love, service, and integrity. He also leaves behind extended family and a wide circle of friends whose lives are forever better because they knew him.

Jeffrey's legacy is one of service, joy and unwavering love. He lived his life not for accolades or recognition, but for the people he cared about-and in doing so, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's in Redding, on July 28 at 11AM, with a reception to follow at CR Gibbs.

He was, above all else, a good man. And he will be deeply missed.
