Jeffrey Neil LaBonte,74, of Brookfield, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th, 2025. Survived by his daughter Erin (David) Yarmo, 2 grandsons Ethan and Ryder, 3 brothers, James(Renee) LaBonte, John (Jaclyn) LaBonte, Jay (Kathleen) LaBonte, and a sister Susan Grau. Also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeff graduated from Wauwatosa West High School in 1968 and from Lakeland University in 1973 with a degree in business. He worked as a developer with Rite Realty until he created his own company, Monarch Realty. Jeff enjoyed life and could be found throughout the seasons skiing, snowmobiling, playing tennis, boating, fishing, hunting, or playing golf, although his true love was sailing. LBYC has always been home to Jeff. As a past commodore, he sailed a C Scow, an MC, the mini 12-meter, and enjoyed ice boating. Jeff's real contribution to the club was his service. He was a leader in amending Bylaws, helped with financial decisions, created numerous logos and gear for the yacht club and countless hours on race committees, setting race courses, and judging. On the Inland level, Jeff was an ILYA-appointed PRO serving the A and 12O's fleets. He received the coveted Bilge Puller Cannon for exceptional RC work. We will pay our respects to Jeff at a Private memorial later this year with the ringing of Eight Bells!
