Jeffrey S. LaPak

Jeffrey "Jeff" LaPak, army veteran, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, passed away on January 1, 2023. He was born to Thomas and Vernette LaPak on August 5, 1968.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly LaPak; loving children, Brandon (Samantha) LaPak and Taylor (Jessica) Burnham; granddaughter, Leighton LaPak; brothers, Thomas LaPak, Kurt LaPak, and sister, Amee LaPak. He is also fondly remembered by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Cherylin Crawford; (late) brother-in-law, Joseph Crawford; sisters-in-law, Tracy Crawford and Katie (Charlie) Pollack; and many cherished nephews and nieces, all of whom will remember Jeff as "the big guy with an even bigger heart."
Jeff was born in Des Plaines, Illinois and completed his B.A. in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Thereafter, he proudly served his country as an E-4 officer in the U.S. Army Special Forces unit.
On July 25th, 1997, he married Kimberly, to whom he was a most patient and dedicated husband. Together they devoted their passions to raising their two children, Taylor and Brandon.
Jeff was employed at Menards for over three decades, serving as the general manager of the Crystal Lake location, where he was known for his visionary leadership, strategic team-building, and enduring work ethic.
His foremost passion, by far, was his adoring family, to which he was most steadfast and committed, and shortly before his death, he welcomed his first granddaughter.
Family, friends, and others are invited to gather at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Crystal Lake on Sunday, January 8th, from 4 until a service at 7:30 to reminisce and celebrate a life well-lived.
