Jeffery Paul Lien, 71, lifelong Superior resident, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his home as he wanted. He was born the son of Floyd and Marcella (Marcie Berg) Lien on April 6, 1954 in Superior, WI. He was a 1972 graduate from SSHS and attended UWS. Jeff worked at Frasier Shipyard, bartended at Champs Bar, and retired from Fleming Foods, all in Superior. He was a proud member of the Eagles Aire #80. You could always find him at the Eagles Club or local pubs taking chances on boards, rooting for his favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, and just catching up with old friends. Jeff had a quick sense of humor right until the end of his life and will be missed by many. He is survived by his longtime life companion, Julie Basina, Superior; sister Cathy (Al) Kurtz, Superior; brother Greg (Diane Patnode) Lien, Mahtomedi, MN; nephews: Paul Kurtz, Superior, Al (Samantha) Kurtz, Superior, Brad Lien, Duluth, MN; sister-in-law, Susie Lien Superior; nieces Cassie (Brent) Price, Oak Grove, MN, and Angie (Peter) Pienaar, South Range, WI; and many extended family and close friends and his precious canine companion Beau Peep.
