Jeffrey Alan Luer passed away Friday May 30, 2025 at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, after complications of a long illness.
Jeff and Garth were born September 11, 1954 to Louella Schaible and Ernest Robert Luer in Jamestown, North Dakota. Jeff married his beautiful bride on June 16, 1984 in New Athens Illinois. They met at a wedding which they both participated in.
Jeff was an avid golfer always ready for a round of golf with his father, brother, sister, and/or church friends. Jeff had an analytical and scientific mind.
Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. His twin also attended UND earning a Master's degree in chemistry.
Jeff earned his way through college under the supervision of his father, Ernie, who was employed by Northern Improvement Asphalt Company.
Jeff's career, spanning 39 years, involved in project and process engineering roles in many states throughout the country. Jeff and Terry lived and worked in 8 states. They enjoyed meeting many wonderful people. He enjoyed golfing, travel and family home evening. Jeff and Terry were foster parents and Sunday School Teachers. Jeff also served as an Elders Quorum President and a Ward Clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Terry (Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming); his nieces Nicole (Layton) Hix of Fulshears, TX and Michelle (Thomas) Rezzonico of Rock Springs, Wyoming; his twin, Garth (Kathy) Luer of Sanford Michigan, his sister Lezlie (Clyde) Grosz of Bismarck, ND; brother Scott Luer "Hoopie" from Wahpeton, North Dakota. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, maternal/ paternal grandparents and many beloved aunts and uncles. His numerous K9 friends await him in heaven.
