Jeffrey Dee Matney

O B I T U A R Y

Jeffrey Dee Matney of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of Rosie Mae Gibson Matney of Greensburg and the late Garland Lee Matney, was born on Monday, January 20, 1964 in Glasgow and departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home. He was 62 years and 17 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Maple Hill Methodist Church. He previously worked as an associate for Greensburg Manufacturing. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.

Besides his mother, Rosie, he is also survived by two daughters: Casey Lynn Matney and her significant other, Jerry Pippin of Greensburg, Cherita Matney and her fiancé, Tyler Merritt of Columbia; a son: Blake Matney of Columbia; seven grandchildren: Khyron Matney, Keylee Matney, Karson Wright, Kaydian Wright all of Columbia, Hunter Pippin, Jerrod Pippin, Kaitlyn Pippin all of Greensburg; a son-in-law: Owsley Vaughn of Greensburg; sister-in-law: Lisa Matney of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a daughter: Miranda Matney Vaughn; two brothers: Gary Matney and Larry Matney; two sisters: Rhonda Milby and Sandra Adkins; and his first wife: Tammy Wilcoxson.

The funeral service for Jeffrey Dee Matney will be conducted at 2 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Bro. Robert Adkins and Bro. Cliffton Sullivan officiating.

Visitation is requested after 10 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the funeral home until time of the service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Maple Hill Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
