Kayden Melson of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of Jonathan Melson and Amanda Pierce, was born on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Tuesday March 10, 2026 due to an automobile accident. He was 14 years, 7 months, and 23 days of age.

Kayden was a freshman in high school and was homeschooled. He would light up any room and was always making everyone laugh. He had such a big heart and brought so much joy to the people around him. He enjoyed music, hanging out with his friends, and playing with all his siblings.

Kayden is survived by his mother: Amanda Pierce of Campbellsville; his father: Jonathan Melson and his fiancé, Courtney Pickett of Greensburg; his brothers and sisters: Alex Arnett, Jaden Pierce, Dawson Corbin, Jacob Price, Zoey Melson, Oaklee Melson, Kensley Melson, Valerie Pickett, Carter Pickett; his grandparents: Joe and Peggy Nelson of Greensburg, Brenda Murrell of Jamestown, Lee Melson of Jamestown, Daniel and Christy Pickett of Green County; his great-grandparents: Steve and Reta Pickett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Katelyn Hamblin in 2006; his grandfather: Timmy Pierce; and a great-grandfather: Hershel Melson.

The funeral service for Kayden Melson will be conducted at 12 Noon, Central Time, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Warf Cemetery. Bro. Nathan Rayburn officiating.

Visitation is requested from 1 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Friday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Saturday at the funeral home until time of the service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Family Burial Fund which can be made at the funeral home, Community Trust Bank, or online at the payment center.
