Jeffrey Michael McHargue, Jr., age 50, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home. Born on October 19, 1971, in Iredell County, he was the son of Jeffrey Michael McHargue, Sr. and Karon Johnson Ball.
Jeffrey had a passion for Powersports, including riding ATV's and motorcycles. He enjoyed being outside and deer hunting. Jeffrey loved and cherished his family; he was known as a "charmer."
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ora Johnson; his paternal grandparents, L.G. McHargue and Ruth Millsaps McHargue; and his stepfather, Ray Ball. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Karon Johnson Ball; his father, Jeffrey Michael McHargue, Sr. and his step-mother, Sherry; his son, Tevis Blake McHargue; step-daughter, Kristi Crouch; grandchildren, Xander McHargue and Tazzen McHargue; brothers, Stephen Ball (Inge), and Casey Ball (Becca); nieces and nephews, Destiny, Jada, Marley, Mercy, Jay, Braxton, Caden, and Baylor; great-niece and nephew, Violet and Oliver; his aunt, Sandra Thomas; several other aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
A celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Tabernacle Baptist Church (494 Lippard Farm Rd., Statesville) with Pastor Curtis White officiating. The family will receive one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm at the church.
