Jeffrey Oscarson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DuPage Cremations, Ltd. and Memorial Chapel on Oct. 1, 2025.
Jeffrey Scott Oscarson, born February 25, 1959, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2025.
Jeffrey was the son of the late Edwin and Dorothy Oscarson.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brothers, Ted, David, and Steve; his sisters, Carol and Debra; his nephew, Timothy Mrock; his grandparents, Maude Reading, and Jenny and Henning Oscarson; his uncle and aunt, Clifford and Jeanne Oscarson; and his uncle and aunt, Jack and Margaret Lersch.
Jeffrey is survived by his son, Christopher, and his brother Randy (Lisa).
Jeffrey was a loving uncle to Adam, Andrew, Heather, Jamie, Jennifer, Kimberly, Marcy, Matthew, Nicole, Renee, Tina, and Tracy. He will also be dearly missed by his eight great-nieces and nephews, five cousins, and several second cousins.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his unconditional love, his thoughtfulness, and, above all, his incredibly big heart. He treasured the time he spent with his son, family, and friends, and took immense pride in being a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. Jeffrey found peace in fishing, cars, music, and the beauty of nature – especially birds – as well as in the simple joys of everyday life. Though gone far too soon, his spirit and memory will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
To honor Jeffrey's life and the many simple joys he cherished, his son, Christopher, is dedicating a Tribute Tree at The Morton Arboretum – a place that brought him peace and reflected so much of who he was.
