Jeffrey Val Palmer, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in his hometown of South Jordan, Utah. Just two days following his 67th birthday.
Jeff was born on May 12, 1958, in South Jordan, where he grew up and built a life rooted in hard work, family, and faith. From a young age, he entered the cattle business, sparking a lifelong journey as an entrepreneur with a passion for building and creating his own path.
Jeff was a man of many loves-his family, the open outdoors, good music, and the thrill of bull riding in his younger years. He especially cherished quiet time at a secluded cabin, surrounded by nature and peace. Above all, he was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in time spent with his children and grandchildren.
A God-fearing Christian, Jeff's faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He looked forward to Sundays at Courageous Church, worshiping alongside his family with gratitude and conviction.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Wesley Palmer; his sons, George Palmer, J.D. (Sabrina) Palmer, and Riley Palmer; and his grandchildren: AJ, Elle, Adrian, Jonsie, Dre, Ryder, Paris, Olivia, and Chloe. He is also survived by his brothers, Ken (Rhonda) Palmer, Wayne (Christy) Palmer, Danny (Kalene) Palmer, Mont (Shauna) Palmer, Cory (Michelle) Palmer and his sisters Debra Palmer, Karen (Al) Witkamp, and Carla Palmer Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Val Gene Palmer and Lila Maynard Frandsen, his sister, Valerie Palmer Bills; and most recently his son, Matthew Palmer.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home in South Jordan at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing prior beginning at 11:30 a.m. Following the service Jeffrey will be laid to rest in the South Jordan City Cemetery, 10630 S. 1055 W. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Jeff's life.
Jeffrey Val Palmer will be remembered for his unmatched generosity, strength, faith, sense of adventure, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the values he passed down.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with funeral expenses can be made to Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home or via Venmo @MemorialforJeffPalmer.

To the Palmer Family,

I am heartbroken by the loss of my dear brother Jeff.

Just this morning, while in Texas, I was going to send him a photo of the sunrise-something I knew he would have appreciated.

I had planned to call him around 10a.m but was called with the sad news. A huge loss of big heart.

His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.

May our Almighty God welcome him into eternal peace. I pray for comfort and strength for each of you during this time of sorrow. Jeff´s spirit, kindness, and love for family will never be forgotten.

With deepest sympathy,

Al Mustafa
