Jeffrey Leonard Powers, 63, of High Point, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his home.
Born April 8, 1962, in Guilford County, he was a son to the late John Henry Powers and the late Virginia May Shelton Powers. Jeffrey worked in construction, he had a love for NASCAR, making things with his hands and going to the beach and mountains. But his greatest love was family, he was a true father figure and family leader and always willing to help other people.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Edwards Powers of the home; sons, Lee Olvey (Alica) of Thomasville and Jay Moore (Somer) of Lexington; daughter, Angel Olvey of the home; sisters, Sue May of Greensboro, Joy Wilson (Cheese) of Level Cross, and Donna Robertson of Kernersville; grandchildren, Layla Moore, Madison Olvey, Hayden Moore, and Caleb Olvey: and special friends, Regina Harris and April Browning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tony Powers and David Powers, and brother-in-law, Woody May.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in the High Point chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Pastor John Langdon.
The family will visit with friends following the service.
