We celebrate the life and memory of Jeffrey David Pruitt Sr., age 62. He was born on December 6, 1961 in Cumming, GA to the late Dean and Jackie Pruitt. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Lynne Pruitt Powers and his granddaughter, Everleigh Gayle Haymore. Survivors include his wife, Connie Fife Pruitt; daughter, Allison Pruitt; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Josh Haymore; daughter and son-in-law, Annie and Gunner Wood; son, Jacob Vlad Pruitt; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Hannah Pruitt; 12 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Bonita Pruitt; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff was a man whose generous spirit and concern for others touched the lives of many. He and Connie just celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary and have resided in Dahlonega, GA for 21 years. Jeff was a proud Dad to his five children and an extra proud Papa to his many grandchildren. He cherished spending time with his family and always wanted them to know how proud of them he was. Throughout his life, Jeff left a mark of love, laughter, and encouragement in the hearts of those he encountered.
Jeff worked for Lanier Technical College for 14 years. He was a loyal and dedicated Ramsey Conference Center Director. His strong work ethic was admired and appreciated by all who worked with him as well as by his clients. He had the ability to make everyone around him feel important. His dedication and hard work were not limited to his professional life but were also evident in his personal endeavors. As an active member in his community, Jeff's love for people was reciprocated by all who met him.
He was a man who wore many hats. In addition to husband, dad, papa, and Director, one of his favorite hats to put on was his Farmer hat. He loved checking on his cows, driving his tractor, and spending time at the farm.
He was a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ and attended Christ Family Church. If anyone would like to make a donation to a ministry that Jeff was passionate about, he had requested that they be made to "The Fellowship of Christian Athletes" (FCA) at our UNG Dahlonega campus where the Lord has called his son-in-law and daughter, Josh and Sarah Haymore, to serve. You can donate online at "my.fca.org" and search "Josh Haymore", or write a check made out to "Fellowship of Christian Athletes" with "UNG-1081 9X10" in the memo line. Checks can be given to any member of our family or delivered or mailed to Dahlonega Funeral Home 20 Gibson Road Dahlonega GA in memorial of Jeffrey.
Please join us in celebrating Jeff's life on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, Georgia, 30533. Visitation will be held at the same venue on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm with an hour break resuming at 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 12:00 pm until time of service.

I am saddened by Jeff's passing. A good friend and neighbor. Will miss his smile and happy disposition, even in light of the illness. My condolences to his family. He just helped us get a cow butchered through his daughter Sarah. Will always remember Jeff.

I just got the news out in Colorado. I always looked up to Jeff, he was always a leader of the pack when we were kids growing up in Greenwood Acres. I ran into him a few times as an adult and could see that he was a good man. I know his passing is a great loss to his family and those who knew him well. Job well done, Jeff!

Jeff was a kind and gentle spirit. A very genuine man. His Godly spirit drew you to him. I worked for him at Lanier Tech, and couldn't have had a better boss. Often, past employees would stop by to visit him, and sharing information about him was like being on cloud nine. He was just that remarkable. He was my friend. I will miss our calls and texts. And I will miss him dearly.

I knew Jeff at Lanier Tech. He was incredibly kind and responsible. Any event at Lanier Tech was handled with competency and professionalism. When you were in Jeff's presence, you were wrapped in an his atmosphere of generosity and kindness. I consider him to be a great man and the consummate gentleman. Whenever he helped me at the conference center, I gave him a pound cake. He was so incredibly proficient and loving. You wanted to reciprocate with his same generosity of spirit. He will be greatly missed.

I´ll always remember Jeff from our days at the Polo Fields. Jeff worked at the clubhouse yet always looked out for my father in law who had dementia. Jeff visited with Troy the day before Troy passed. Jeff had a heart of gold! He always took care of us homeowners while we visited the club. After that, when he had his oil change business in Cumming, we always made sure to support his business. We moved away and now get this sad news. Rest in peace Jeff and thanks for the memories!!
