Jeffrey Allen Remy, 62, of McArthur, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Jeffrey was born on August 15, 1962, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Earl and Frances (Bryant) Remy. He was married to Darcus “Star” Remy who survives.
Jeffrey served in the U.S. Air Force as a security specialist. He worked at Ohio Mat in McArthur for many years. Jeffrey was an aviation enthusiast and volunteered every year at the Vinton County Air Show with his friend, Andrew Adelmann. Jeffrey also loved fishing (his favorite spot was on the Ohio River), boating, and guns.
Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Lorein George of Chillicothe; sons, Thomas Manring of Franklin Furnace, Jacob Remy of Franklin Furnace, and Justin Remy of Franklin Furnace; grandchildren, Blake Wemmer, Thomas Manring Jr., Jasper Manring, and Nova Wemmer; brothers, Elmer Remy, Keith Remy, and Ronnie Remy; and friends, Andrew Adelmann, Clint Janney, and Todd Clary.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Remy.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Garrett Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Pastor Mark Rosser officiating. Family and friends may visit from 3 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
