Jeffrey Frank Smith, 62, passed away peacefully on December 09, 2025 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on October 24, 1963 to the late Helen Heilig. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Lewis Heilig; and his wife, Catherine Ann Smith.
Jeffrey was an avid fisherman in his younger years and later in life he enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the weekends to the mountains. He was a retired assistant fire chief of McAdenville Volunteer Fire Department. Most of all, Jeffrey loved his family and spending time with his grandson. He leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children, William Todd Smith and Caroline Leslie Johnston (Adam); and his grandson, William Hamilton Johnston.
