Jeffrey D. Sorensen, 85, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at UPMC Lititz.
He was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Dellinger) Sorensen and was the husband of the late Florence Sorensen, who passed away in 2018.
Born and raised in Oil City, he carried his hometown in his heart throughout his life and never missed an opportunity to share its stories and history.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jeff served his country with honor and carried that same dedication into his everyday life. After his service, he built a career he loved working for Frank Perdue, where his hard work and pride in what he did were evident to all who knew him.
Jeff had a passion for motorcycles and found freedom and joy on the open road. He was also an avid antique enthusiast, with a keen eye for treasures and a proud presence at 272 Antiques, where he enjoyed connecting with fellow collectors and sharing his finds.
He will be remembered for his deep love of Oil City, his pride in his work, an adventurous spirit, and his love for his family. Jeff's legacy lives on in the stories he told, the rides he took, and the memories shared by all who were fortunate to know him.
Jeffrey is survived by four siblings, Trudi Sorensen, Lori, wife of Fraser Walsh, Steven Sorsensen and Jodi, wife of Greg Summers.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Sorensen.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
