Middleport- Jeffrey S. Strothmann, aged 58, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 11, 1964 in Hempstead, New York to the late George and Jean (Huntley) Strothmann.
Jeff graduated in 1983 from Corning East High School and went on to earn an associate's degree in technology from Corning Community College. He started his own commercial two-way radio sales and service business, Wavelength Communications, which allowed him to work and be a stay at home dad. Jeff always had the answers to everyone's mechanical and/or electronics problems and was more than happy to help others. He was an amateur radio operator, earning his HAM radio advanced license, and was also a lifelong sailor. Jeff was an active member of the Tuscarora Yacht Club since 1997. During his time with the club, he served on the board and was appointed commodore in 2018. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his family and his friends. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father, husband, and friend to many.
He is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Strothmann, and his beloved lab, Annie.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bethann Lewis-Strothmann, two children, Justin and Lauryn Strothmann; brother, George (Elizabeth) Strothmann Jr., of Painted Post NY; and brother-in-law Craig (Julie) Lewis of Lockwood NY; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport NY 14105 on Friday, February 24 from 4-7. His funeral service will be held at the Middleport United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 25, at 10 AM.

Dear Bethann and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear about Jeff's passing. Please know that you have my deepest sympathies during this difficult time. Losing loved ones is never ever easy, and I see by the internet today it's been a difficult time for all the Strothmann family with George's passing last December and now Jeff's. I know they're all together in heaven with no pain or sadness, and we will all see them again. Please take comfort in knowing that you and both your children are surrounded by people who care about you and want to support you during this sad and ever lonely time. Peace be with you and God Bless.

Jeff was always a friendly welcoming face at TYC. It was so heartwarming to see him enjoying his friends and family. He was always willing to help, even power boaters- a long standing joke. A pleasure to know Jeff and God bless his family
