With heavy hearts, we share the news that Jeffry E. Sayers, 73, ended his earthly journey and transitioned into his reward in heaven on February 16, 2026. While we grieve, we take comfort knowing that his long-debilitating health issues are now put to rest, leaving him in lasting peace.
Jeffry was a man of simple, deep passions; he loved anything Western, but his true treasures were his loved ones. He was a devoted husband and a dedicated, hands-on father and grandfather. To know him was to love him, and he left this world surrounded by that love.
Born on July 17, 1952, in Sligo, PA, to the late Earl Eugene and Shirley (McCafferty) Sayers, Jeff was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Michael.
Those left with loving and cherished memories include his beloved wife, Linda Sayers (Zilhaver); his sons, Jeffry (Erin) and Dan (Ben Stabb); his stepchildren, Shane Machacek (Wendy) and Carmen McElfresh (Ehren); and his grandchildren, Jeffry, Isaac, Sophia, Rylin, and Nate. He is also survived by his brothers: Tim, Gene, Greg, Brian, and David.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Pleasant Ridge Manor and AseraCare Hospice for the excellent medical care and compassionate attention shown to Jeff and his family during this difficult time.
No services will be held at this time. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in entrusted with funeral arrangements.
