Jen Kou, 69 of Lawrenceville, NJ passed away on September 19, 2025. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Pao-Shen Kou and Shen-Rou Cheng along with his sister, Chih Kou. He left Earth knowing that he was loved by his family.

Jen studied Economics at Dong-Wu University in Taiwan. After graduating, he came to the U.S. to pursue his masters degree at the University of Alabama. In 1983, he met his wife, Sarah Cheng, who was also studying at the university, and the two married in 1986. Shortly after, the two moved to New York to start their careers and family.

Jen had many passions in life: baseball, football, Chinese operas, and good food to name a few. Above all, Jen loved spending time with his family, whether playing Mahjong and card games or watching a Braves game on TV. His family will miss his intelligence, his jokes, and his kindness.

Jen was a loving husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. He is survived and mourned by his wife, his sister, his three kids: Byron Kou, Patricia Kou, and Parry Kou, his nieces and nephews, and all his closest friends that he's made throughout the years. He leaves a void in all of our hearts that will never be completely filled.

Visitation for Jen will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638.
