Cyrus Turgyan

Cyrus Turgyan, the second of his name, of West Trenton, NJ, passed away with his family by his side on April 9, 2025 at Capital Health Regional in Trenton, NJ. He was 54. Born in 1971 to parents Edward Funk and Susan Turgyan, he was of true hertiage to the Native American Chawathil Indian Band. Cyrus attended and graduated from Ewing High School in 1989, and soon after began his career at IBEW Electrician School. That career led to thirty three years of outstanding work. He absolutely enjoyed working as an electrician and the many friends he met along the way.
Cyrus enjoyed watching the New York Rangers hockey team and the New York Mets play. He loved attending and spending quality time with his family at every hockey game they could possibly attend in New York City. Playing golf and "swinging the clubs" was his favorite pastime. His ability to be a true and loyal fan is most remembered by his daughters, who found him on the side lines of each and every soccer game, graduations and birthdays without miss. Cyrus had the best dance moves and loved listening to Metallica, but his biggest love was for grilling poolside and making the whole family laugh each summer. Cyrus was easily the loudest person in a room when it came to family gatherings, he truly had a one in a million type of personality that would be impossible to forget. Cyrus will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working along side him.
Predeceased by his father Edward Funk, he is survived by his mother: Susan Turgyan and his dad Eugene Reid and brothers: Shawn Turgyan, Joseph Reid, and Robert Reid. Cyrus is also survived by this two daughters: Renee Turgyan and Sydney Turgyan, who will always remember his unwaveringlove for them is absolute and infinite. He also leaves to mourn his passing for many nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends.
A memorial service for Cyrus will be held on Monday April 21, 2025 at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
