Jenness Dunn Willard, born on July 12, 1944, in Greensboro, North Carolina, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on October 17, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was 81 years old.

Jenness dedicated many years of her professional life to Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro, where she was known for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication. A devoted member of Rehobeth Church, she spent countless hours supporting her church community, embodying the values of faith and service.

In her personal life, Jenness found joy in simple pleasures-she loved shopping, cherished watching her soap operas, and most importantly, treasured every moment spent with her beloved family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elwood Dunn and Annie Hatton Dunn, her son-in-law, Lee Willard, and her brother-in-law, Randy Walker.

Jenness leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jim Willard; her daughters, Jennifer Willard of Greensboro, and Julie Broffman (Bobby) of Denver, NC; her sister, Maryellen Walker (Jim); her grandchildren, Morgan Willard, Tommy Broffman, Taylor Broffman, and Courtney Marsh (Joel); and her great-grandchildren, Corbyn Beasley and Willow Marsh. She is also fondly remembered by her nephews and friends.

A celebration of Jenness's life will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Rehobeth Church, 4475 Rehobeth Church Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406. The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by the service at 4:00 p.m.

Jenness will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
