Jennie Belle Brown

The family of Jennie Belle Cowan Brown, age 87, is deeply saddened to announce her passing on March 10, 2026, in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Born September 17, 1938, in Coldwater, Tennessee to Jon Willie Cowan and Josephine Beddingfield Cowan. Ms. Brown was a homemaker, wife, and longtime employee of the Lincoln County Health System.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Hayes Brown. She was the mother of eight children. Two sons, Tony L. Brown and John Robert Brown (deceased) and six daughters, Mary Frances Williams, Lola Belle Renegar, Robbie Juanitta Crews, Charlene Powell, Lisa Massey and Sandra Kay Ashby (deceased). She is survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to mention. She was the last of her siblings and was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Allen Cowan, Mary Ann Cowan Tucker, Fannie Lou Cowan Sanders, Annie Sue Cowan Warren, and brothers, Roy Theo Cowan, John Thomas Cowan, and Harry Cowan.
