John Watkins Jr.

John Watkins Jr. of Belvidere, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Vanderbilt Harton hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee at the age of 60 years. A native of Harvey, Illinois, he is the son of the late John Watkins Sr. and Joanne Zyer Watkins of Alora, Tennessee and she survives him. Along with his father, John is also preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Marie Watkins. Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are being planned.

John loved going to church. He enjoyed working on the farm and driving the tractor. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. He always enjoyed helping his mother and his neighbors. He had a good heart and was always looking for ways to help others.

His survivors include his mother, Joanne Watkins of Alora, Tennessee, children, Michael Watkins of Belvidere, Tennessee, Jonathan Watkins of Belvidere, Tennessee, David Watkins of Nashville, Tennessee, Billy (Bailey) Naegele of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Alan Naegele of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Rachel (Chance) Bradford of Winchester, Tennessee, Elizabeth Watkins of Belvidere, Tennessee, Devon Watkins of Colorado and Dawn (Josh) Berry of Estill Springs, Tennessee, one brother Richard Watkins of Kentucky. John is also survived by five grandchildren.
