Jennie was a graduate of Swampscott High School. She was an avid Boston sports fan. She loved to read and follow her friends and family on Facebook but most of all Jennie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her.

Burke, III and his wife Mary of Swampscott; her grandchildren, Jason and Cathy Danahy, Sara Noone, Amy and Michael Symes, Brett and Caryn Danahy, Stefani and Paul Buonopane, Tom and Katie Burke, Jennifer and Rob DeMagistris, and Brian and Erin Burke; as well as 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Marguerite Danahy and her husband Christopher; the grandmother of the late Michael Noone; sister of the late John Gambale and sister in law to the late Rachael Gambale.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at 10:00am at St John the Evangelist Church in Swampscott followed by a celebration of life at Tedesco Country Club, 11:00am in Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
