Jennie Lee Turpin Fox, passed away November 13th, 2025 at NHC Columbia after a long journey with dementia.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday November 16th at 2:30 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Phil Mash, Mike Bryan and Randy Fox officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM before the service at the funeral home.
A native of Maury County and resident of New Cut Road for many years, Jennie was born on February 7, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Ross Turpin and the late Sarah Irvin Turpin. She attended school at Theta and Beechland. She married Roy Woodard Fox November 1, 1956. She enjoyed being a mom and raising her two sons, Taking pictures, collecting newspapers clippings for scrapbooks and researching family genealogy. Jennie loved animals, being outdoors, tending to her yard, singing gospel hymns and being a simple stay at home mom. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with her sister Nellie. She was a member of Philadelphia Church of Christ and along time member of Smyrna Church of Christ where she was baptized in 1964.
She is survived by her sons, Lee (Linda) Fox of Lewisburg and Randy (Brenda) Fox of Columbia; sister in laws, Betty Fox and Myra Fox; grandchildren, David (Deana)Fox, Brian Palmer, Dottie (Trent) Conner; great grandchildren, Cain Runions, Tyler Broughton, Wyatt Conner, Kassidy Anne Fox, Allyson Fox and Nicky Fox; great great grandchildren, Carter, Paisley, Emilia Raelynn and Eli; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and grand dog Wiggle Britches as she referred to Lucy Lou Pickles.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Wanda Turpin; siblings and their spouses JB (Betty Lou) Turpin, Leslie (Mary) Turpin, Don Ring; and sisters, Nellie (Everette) Pullen, Betty Lou (William) Rubert; daughter in law Renae Ring Fox and beloved pets Tiger and Tootsie Roll.
Pallbearers will be Ross Pullen, Ricky Howell, David Fox, Nicky Fox, Tony Scott, Don Norman, Steve Cross, Doyle Brannon, Greg Grissom, and Jerry Williams.
We would like to especially thank the staff at NHC Columbia, Caris and Dr. Ball for their care and compassion during her time there.
