Juanita Neelley Obituary
Juanita Smith Neelley, 100, resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at NHC Place Cool Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at New Lasea Church of Christ with Kenny McFarlen officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to New Lasea Church of Christ, 1570 Lasea Rd, Columbia, TN 38401. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born March 25, 1925 in Ardmore, TN, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Claude Smith and the late Naomi Hargrove Smith. On September 22, 1945 she married Ewing Edward Neelley, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 26, 2016, after celebrating 71 years of marriage. Mrs. Neelley was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ where she actively served any way she could.
She is survived by her sons, Ed (Rosalinda) Neelley of Ambridge, PA, and Jim (Dana) Neelley of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Jason (Elizabeth) Neelley, Ewing (Cassia) Neelley, III, Rachel Neelley, Ryan Neelley, Curry (Russ) Long, and Blake Neelley; great-grandchildren, Neelley Long, Maddie Long, and Charlotte Long.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephew, and friends. Honorary pallbearers include the Elders and Deacons of New Lasea Church of Christ.
